  Such a pippin' place, where people just stop by at the bar, have a coffee and pastry and then head out.  There is something special about taking a break to sip coffee from a ceramic cup and enjoying a fluffy crossaint with delicious jam.  Typically us Americans will grab coffee to go in a hurry to work, but imagine taking a moment to enjoy yourself, even if it is just 5 minutes.
  
  The coffee here is also very inexpensive. I truly wish we had one like this here.  We usually grab the cappuccino and a croissant with the jam. Other items are great too- just watch what others order as this place is always crowded.  
  
  Great place for a date too! You can take a walk to grab coffee and chat (keep in mind there is no seating and you mostly are standing at a bar). Then you can take a walk to the Pantheon or down any streets to take a romantic stroll. Man I love Rome!

  This coffee shop was by my hotel Albergo abruzzi. I could smell the coffee aroma and always saw a line out the door. Naturally a coffee lover like myself I had to try it. I stood in the line and it went pretty quickly. I wanted a bag to bring home. They have a lot of options for take home espresso. The ones on the wall seem to be their staple and then they had someone off to the side to give you made to order.
  
  I asked the difference between the ones on the wall and the ones they pack on demand. He stated that the ones on demand are their signature. I got a bag. It was only 6 euros for the regular size. The bag had a delicious aroma in my suitcase that still lasts. When I got home I made my own espresso, and I thought I was back in Rome again.
  
  I also ordered an espresso in the store. It was very delicious and did not need sugar. I can see why there is a line out the door.
  
  I noticed on the side of the shop they have a vending machine for the coffee. I thought that was very interesting. I did not try it through there but a tip if you do not want to wait!

  I've been to Rome about 3 times and every time Tazza is my go-to coffee and pastries place. Their cappuccino is fragrant and the perfect blend, not to mention the croissants are super fresh and the right amount of soft and crisp. I always get the croissant with apricot jam. The sweetness compliments the bitterness of the cappuccino very well.
  
  For those traveling to Italy for the first time, Tazza is a coffee bar. That means there are no tables to sit down at. The locals come drink their coffee at the bar and leave. At most cafes there is also the option to get to-go and sit down. Both of these cost more than bar price; I think it's because Italy is environmentally-conscious, so they're charging you for the cups.
  
  At Tazza and most other places, you need to order first before the baristos serve you. Cappuccino plus croissant usually comes out to be about €3, which is typical for coffee bars. Places that charge more are generally tourist traps, in my opinion. The baristos also dress very professionally in cute suspenders and bow tie. One of my favorite things to do is walk to Tazza early in the morning and take a stroll around the Pantheon after coffee and pastries. Sometimes, the simplest things bring the most joy.

  wondered into here by accident, quick service even with long lines.
  
  Although I am not a big coffee drinker at all, this was probably the best cup of coffee I ever had in my life.....it was just so smooth yet with a great taste and smell of the roasted coffee beans. Words really can't describe, but it is a must TRY!

  You Order first then bring receipt to barista behind bar counters that wrap through the building.
  
  This place is busy! But the cashier and baristas work fast and get everyone their drinks.
  
  We ordered:
  
  Cappuccino
  Granita con Pa
  
  Cappuccino is basic and nothing too special
  Granita is what people come here for and it didn't disappoint. Very refreshing and eating it with the whipped cream is a perfect combination
  
  Employees speak great English and there's coffee beans and ground all over for you to bring a taste home. They even have a vending machine on the side of the building
